Rising out of this salt desert to touch the sky at 5000 meters are mountains and volcanoes, like Mount Toroni and Mount Tunupa, upon which you can witness incredible sunsets and find plenty of minerals, particularly lithium since Uyuni possesses the world’s most significant deposits of that element.

Day 1Santa Cruz

• Upon your arrival at the airport, we will wait for you to initiate the transfer to the hotel in Santa Cruz.
• In the afternoon, we offer you a city tour, and we will walk through the city visiting places of most important tourist attractions like the zoo, museums, main monuments, residential quarters and craft galleries.
• Overnight at your preferred hotel in Santa Cruz.

Day 2Santa Cruz and Samaipata

• You will visit the ruins of Samaipata, impressive and mysterious excavations carved in stone on top of a mountain with a ceremonial centre.
• After arriving at the village and walking through the place, we will visit the museum in the area.
• Overnight at your preferred hotel in Santa Cruz.
• Breakfast and lunch included.

Day 3Santa Cruz and Sucre

• You will leave by plane to Sucre; a colonial city declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
• Upon arrival, we pick you up at the airport and bring you to your hotel.
• The city tour will begin in the afternoon with a visit to the Casa de la Libertad, where the act of independence of Bolivia was signed in 1825.
• Then, we will visit the Bolivar Park. There are some examples of the aristocratic tradition of Sucre, represented in small replicas of the Eiffel Tower and the Arc of Triumph of Paris.
• Overnight at your preferred hotel in Sucre.

Day 4Sucre and Tarabuco

• We will go to Tarabuco, which is located 1 hour from Sucre.
• This colourful town has one of the best traditional markets of South America. Every Sunday, a big fair is held. The dress of the Tarabuqueño – Quechua speakers- has not changed since Inca times. The technique, quality and colour stand out in their production.

Day 5Sucre, Potosí and Cerro Rico Minas

• During the trip to the city of Potosí by bus, we pass through different valleys.
• Get to know the Altiplano, declared Cultural and Natural Heritage by UNESCO.
• An unforgettable experience is waiting for you at more than 200 meters underground, by visiting the mines of the famous Cerro Rico. Once this was the world’s richest mountain, due to the vast silver occurrence during the colonial period. Also, we will observe the lifestyle and working conditions of Bolivian miners who are still working at that place.
• Overnight at your preferred hotel in Potosí.

Day 6Potosí, Uyuni and Colchani

• You will know the famous National Mint of Bolivia, one of the finest museums in South America. The rooms, full of mock-ups, coins and various artefacts, will immerse us in a fascinating history of what once was the imperial villa.
• We will then visit the craft market, the churches of San Francisco and San Lorenzo.
• In the evening, you will travel by bus to Uyuni, crossing the mountains of the Andes, old mining centres and villages.
• Upon your arrival, we bring you to Colchani.
• Overnight at your preferred hotel in Colchani.
• Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

Day 7Uyuni

• You will visit the vast Salar de Uyuni, the largest and highest salt desert in the world, with an area of around 12,000 square kilometres, and one of the most visited tourist attractions in Bolivia.
• On the way, you see the village of Colchani, where we will visit an artisan salt processing plant.
• Then, we also visit Incahuasi Island, also known as Fish Island, an area full of amazing giant cactus.
• After lunch, we go to see the mummies of Coquesa, and then, we will continue to San Juan.
• Overnight at your preferred hotel in San Juan.
• Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

Day 8San Juan, Reserve Eduardo Abaroa and Villamar

• The day will start early, going to the Reserve Eduardo Abaroa, the most visited protected area in Bolivia. There you visit the famous Laguna Colorada, with more than 30,000 nesting flamingos.
• Later, we will visit the Morning Sun Geysers, passing along the shore of the Laguna Chalviri, known for its thermal springs of Polques.
• We will cross the desert of Pampas de Dali, taking advantage of the incredible views, to finally arrive at Laguna Verde, located in the foothills of the mountain Licancabur.
• Then, we bring you back to the north, until reaching Villamar.
• Overnight at your preferred hotel in Villamar.
• Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

Day 9Villamar, Alota, Uyuni and La Paz

• You visit local cave paintings and the fort of Tomas Lakjas.
• Then, we continue to Uyuni, visiting on the way, the Valley of the Rocks and pass the towns of Alota and San Cristobal.
• After lunch, the transfer out to the airport for the flight to La Paz will take place.
• Upon reaching La Paz, we bring you to your hotel.
• Overnight at your preferred hotel in La Paz.

Day 10La Paz and Tiwanaku

• The Tiwanaku was one of the oldest civilizations in the Americas, living between the years 1580 BC and 1150 BC. You can see the remains of their culture up close, visiting the main stone buildings, like the Kalasasaya Temple or the Standing Stone Temple, the Doorway of the Sun, the Ponce and Fraile monoliths, the Akapana Pyramid, and the semi-subterranean temple.

Day 11La Paz, Copacabana and Island of the Sun

• Starting out an elevation of 3,650 m in La Paz, you ascend to the town of Copacabana at the edge of Lake Titicaca,
• At the basilica, you see the famous woodcarving of Our Lady of Copacabana.
• Later on, let´s go to the pier where you take a boat to the spectacular Sun Island, largest island in the lake.
• Visit the Pilkokaina archaeological ruins.
• Overnight at your preferred hotel on the Sun Island.
• Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

Day 12La Chincana, Island of the Moon, Copacabana and La Paz

• Today is set aside for a tour of both islands, and you will visit the Iñac Uyu archaeological centre and the Temple of the Moon, which was an Acllawasi (House for chosen women) during the Incan Empire.
• Afterwards, you will return to Copacabana and continue your trip back to La Paz.
• Overnight at your preferred hotel in La Paz.
• Breakfast and lunch included.

Day 13La Paz

• Unfortunately, now it´s time to say Good-Bye, and we bring you back to the airport, to take your flight home.
